The growth of algae and moss is one of the main causes of dirt on roofs. But many roofs are difficult to clean because they are hard to access. The new generation of PLEXIGLAS RESIST^® SDP 16 double-skin sheets has therefore been equipped with an AntiAlgaeApplication based on nanotechnology. This coating uses the sun’s natural UV radiation to make algae, moss, pollen and other types of soiling lose their grip on the sheet or dissolve completely. Any remaining dirt is almost completely washed off by the next rainfall.

Airborne dirt
Algae, moss, lichen etc. are blown around by the wind and often settle on the roof to form a greenish-brown layer.

PLEXIGLAS RESIST^® AAA
With the aid of natural sunlight, especially UV radiation, the PLEXIGLAS RESIST^® AAA sheets cause dirt particles to decompose.

Dirt busters
Bit by bit, the decomposed algae, moss, lichen etc. lose their grip on the sheet surface or are completely dissolved.

The rain takes care of the rest
The AntiAlgaeApplication causes a thin film of water to form under the decomposed dirt, so that next rainfall can simply rinse the roof clean again.
