PLEXIGLAS® Guarantees

We guarantee that our solid sheets, multi-skin sheets, corrugated sheets, blocks, tubes and rods marketed under the PLEXIGLAS^® trademark will show no visible yellowing and will retain their maximum light transmission for 30 years.

Upon delivery, clear-transparent PLEXIGLAS^® has a yellowness index of 0 to 1. Depending on the grade of product and site of utilization, the yellowness index is only 4 to 7 delta higher after 30 years. The yellowness index is measured according to DIN 5036 on clean, polished specimens that were conditioned to a state of equilibrium in a standard conditioning atmosphere at 23 °C/50 % relative humidity (RH).

Upon delivery, clear PLEXIGLAS^® shows a light transmission of up to 92%, depending on grade and version. Depending on the product grade and version, the light transmission is only 2 to 8% lower after 30 years. The transmittance τ_D65 is measured according to DIN 5036 on clean, polished specimens that were conditioned to a state of equilibrium in a standard conditioning atmosphere at 23 °C/50% relative humidity (RH).
